The TV show was a little before my time, so cannot say I've ever watched an episode. However, I could tell that this movie doesn't do any justice to the cult series and it was easier to see why it was a huge flop. It could have worked as a great kids movie or a brainless adventure flick, but the gross-out comedy in this do it no favours at all. Will Ferrell is completely unfunny and the supporting characters are annoying. Britain's Anna Friel does her best in her first big budget American film, but with a script so poor she may consider sticking to projects filmed on home soil.
