Standard but reasonably effective thriller, set against a
backdrop of McCarthyism politics, a journalist is forced out of her job and uncovers a right-wing conspiracy.
The film tries its best to ape the style of a Hitchcock
suspense with its old-fashioned execution, but the story isn't gripping enough, though great attention to period and decent acting performances make it entertaining enough for the duration,
albeit completely forgettable to have any longevity.
